Behaviour Support Worker

I am currently working with a pupil referral unit in the Halifax area, Ofsted rated graded "Good"   who are looking for specialist behaviour support assistant to work in KS3/4. This is a temporary position that will have a view of becoming permanent. This unit provides stability, education and empowerment and takes into account their differentiated learning styles to ensure students integrated socially, emotionally and educationally. The school offers both vocational, national and core curriculum content.

Job Description:

Operate within agreed professional ethical and school policies when working with pupils and those involved with them.

Encourage and support staff in positive regard restraint training when presented with difficult behaviours.

Supporting pupils overcome their crisis and deal with the consequences.

Assist integration for the child into the rest of the class/group.
